These last few days have been so easy. We have been spending most of the days outside as much as possible because it is getting cooler and I want to treasure this warm weather before it is gone for the year.
Saturday I took Brayah and Brewer to the 2nd Street farmer's market then we came home and got the rest of the family and headed out to the Wegertzyn Discovery Garden. It was really nice. I had never been before so I was not exacly sure what to expect, like that there is a waterfall/stream for the kids to play in. Most kids were ther in swim suits but mine were in pants and tshirts. (It was chilly that morning). We packed peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and just let the kids take little breaks from playing to eat. I definitely want to go back and spend more time. Brayah actually wants to have her Birthday party there. I don't exactly know how that would work but, we'll see.
Sunday we did a whole lotta nothin'. Yep, nothin'. And I loved it!
Monday and Tuesday I had the kids fed, dressed and outside by 8:30. I am feeling so claustrophobic in the house lately. I want to keep it clean all the time but that is impossible. I just feel like the kids can be free-er (like my made up words, lol) outside than I let them be inside. They get dirty, play in water, play with sticks, and just run and be kids outside.
Monday we made leaf rubbings and identified some of the trees in our courtyard. Brayah learned to swing herself although she still wants me to swing her. Tuesday I noticed that Taylor was carrying around a lot of rocks so we decided to clean them with toothbrushes. Today we walked to the pond across the street first thing in the morning and stayed for a couple hours. I met someone that just moved here last week and had a good conversation with her.
Sigh. The last few days have really been very slow and easy. And I love it! There is always something that needs to be cleaned in this house. There are always dishes to do. There is always laundry to do. But those things can wait til winter, right? ;-) I want to stay outside and enjoy the sunshine today.
